The intellectually fulfilled creationist does not have to “give anything up” in order to believe the Bible’s record of Creation. The Bible and science do not have to be at cross purposes. We certainly don’t have to “take it on faith” rather than “be scientific”. In fact because there is no contradiction between the Bible and science, both being God’s works, the creationist is in a position to gain many key insights that would not be possible for the materialist. more…

Know the Creator

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:

I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

John 10:10

It is the work of the thief to destroy.  This word “destroy” (used for the actions of the thief) is translated “perished” in 2 Peter 3:6 “Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished”.  But God did not leave it in that condition.  In Genesis chapter 1 the world went from “without form and void” in verse 2 to “very good” by the end of the chapter.  God had a plan to make the world a better place.  It is the same in our lives, that which the thief would destroy, God desires to make very good.  It is God’s love that provides this way out of destruction through His son, Jesus Christ who came to bring us a life more abundant!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

This same word “destroy” is again the word translated “perish” here. The scientific materialists who say there is no God and there is nothing after death are, in a sense, correct; for without God and His son man will perish and after these few years upon this earth there will be nothing.  But as God had a solution for the world, He has a solution for each of our lives too.

The purpose of knowledge is action. To understand the nature of the origins of things and not to get to know the God that created them is useless. And in order to know God you must know His Word. After the close of Genesis chapter1 where it says that “God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.” God gave man authority over all He had made.  But man through disobedience fell losing the authority once given to him. With that fall man experienced separation from God. But God had a means to redeem mankind from this condition, by way of His son. The Word states that it is through God’s son, Jesus Christ we again can have access to God.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

God’s plan of redemption required the sacrifice of His son, whom He raised from the dead. If we will make him Lord in our life, believing in that resurrection we have salvation.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10
We can gain back everything that Adam lost and so much more through Jesus Christ. He is our means to know the Creator and to enjoy the life He has desired for mankind. He desires this life for you.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Romans 10:11

When we believe we will not be ashamed or as the New American Standard translation renders it “will not be disappointed”. As we believe we will receive. In Mark 9:23

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23

Believing is the key to receiving the things of God.

But without faith [believing] it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. 1 Thessalonians 2:13

As we believe God can work effectually in us. He rewards those that seek Him, but first they must believe He is. We as believers must help those that are trapped in unbelief and the ungodly nature of the materialism inherent in Darwinism and other atheistic trends in our society and bring them to a knowledge of the truth.
