Creationism is biblically not religiously based; the distinction may seem slight but it is significant. Religion is personal and one’s religious beliefs are not quantifiable. But the Bible, as well as speaking on spiritual matters, makes certain attestations to the nature and origin of the material world. As such these claims are subject to scientific investigation.

The Bible is plain; “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”. The evidence (presented here and elsewhere) is obvious; even the simplest forms of life have been found to be complex beyond our wildest dreams and far too complex to have arisen by chance mutations (Darwinian evolution).  The consensus is overwhelming: the majority of Americans believe God intervened in the origin of the material world, in fact 75% of Americans are Christian.  But despite this the schools that our children attend teach  materialistic atheism.  It appears that the silent majority is just a little too silent.  Complacency has allowed our courts, our scientists and our educators to exclude God from many aspects of our life including our scientific laboratories and our educational systems.  For example our courts have used separation of church and state (which was designed to keep the government from meddling in the affairs of the church) to keep God out of our schools even though the declaration of independence says that “… all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights”

The crisis in the scientific community is equally as profound.  The attempt by Darwinism to explain the complexities of life has failed.  Although Darwinism is widely accepted and widely taught there is no plausible explanation in Darwinism for how life began.  And the more science discovers the more untenable its position becomes.  Despite this the theory is defended dogmatically.

Does this begin to sound like a set up job to you?

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4

So there appears to be a “god of this world” who is activly working against the gospel being known by blinding peoples eyes.  Our knowledge of creation is part of that gospel, which states that God created this universe and man to rule over it, and when He looked it all over it was “very good”.  But through man’s (Adams) sin it became very bad and the dominion and authority God gave to Adam became Satan’s.  In Luke 4:6 he tempts Christ with the kingdoms of this world saying “…All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me.”  He has authority in this world and believers are the one’s that can thwart it through the gospel.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned… Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Romans 5:12 & 18

Jesus Christ (the second Adam) regained for us what was lost by the sin of the first Adam.  The damage to God’s creation, that was once perfect, has been dealt with by His son, Jesus Christ.  But until he returns to set things aright, we have an imperfect world to understand through the scriptures and the gaze of science.
