The Constitution of the United States did not provide for separation of God and State, but church and state, and did so to protect our citizens from those that would try to restrict our worship of God.  It is God that created the heavens and earth not religion or the church.

George Washington stated:

“It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and Bible.”

Despite what anyone says the US is a Christian Nation and our forefathers established it on Christian principles.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”

Preamble to the Constitution of the United States

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

When our nation declared its independence, it did so on the grounds that our Creator, God, had endowed us with unalienable rights which politically were not being honored. A Constitution was formed to protect those God given rights, among which were the blessings of Liberty. One of the primary purposes of this Constitution was to guarantee that any religious organization could not jeopardize the right of a citizen to worship as they saw fit by that organization gaining political power.

The intent of our founding fathers was not to separate our government from the God who invested us with our unalienable rights and blessed our nation, but to guarantee that we as a nation could worship that God as we saw fit and that no political or religious organization could take that right away. Separation of God and state would separate us as a nation, from the source of our blessings; which our forefathers would never consider.

But precisely the opposite has happened and our legislators and judges have been endeavoring to restrict our right to worship God as we see fit by enacting and interpreting law in a manner opposed to the Constitution of our land. In doing so they are severing us, as a nation, from the source of our blessings. If we as a nation desire to maintain the blessings of God we need to undo this damage.
